Challenge

When prominent conceptual artist Jenny Holzer was commissioned by Qualcomm to create a site specific artwork for their San Diego headquarters, Holzer approached our team to facilitate translating her powerful practice into an evolving and integrated, digitally reactive installation.

Experience

Visitor provided custom software design innovation and integration to Holzer in translating her work into an interactive, digital augmentation that allows passersby to view and interact with the installation real-time. Our team consulted with the artist to develop and execute over 50 real-time effects, purposefully interwoven with Holzer’s scrolling poetic and literary texts.

By interacting with the sensor-based installation, users can randomly change Holzer's famous truisms in addition to adding their own texts which scroll across the massive 800-square foot activation.
